Founder Story
Marwa Preston
Throughout my life, my purpose has been to bring joy to others. After leading global teams at Microsoft, I followed my passion for food, wine, and human connection, founding Wanderbeak in Barcelona in 2016. Through curated culinary experiences, I brought travelers closer to the heart of each city through its history, culture and people.
When the global pandemic reshaped my journey, I returned to the corporate world, but my passion for hospitality and making people feel special only grew stronger. In 2024, after earning an Executive Master’s in Luxury Management at Bocconi University, I decided to elevate Wanderbeak into Elysian Tales, blending my love for hospitality with immersive boutique gastronomic experiences that evoke emotions, forge connections, and create lasting memories.
THE LEGACY OF WANDERBEAK
Partnering with top hotels and travel agencies, Wanderbeak seamlessly served both leisure travelers and corporate groups, delivering bespoke experiences that celebrated the flavors and stories of the Mediterranean. The brand earned the trust of globally renowned companies like Microsoft, Ericsson, Mercedes, Volkswagen, McDonald’s, and Amway, hosting tailored events that left lasting impressions.
Over the years, Wanderbeak became a trusted name in the travel industry, creating unforgettable culinary walking tours that delighted several thousand clients. By 2020, Wanderbeak had expanded its footprint beyond Barcelona to include Madrid, Lisbon, and Seville, curating hundreds of experiences in its final year of operation.
